Ourlads' Profile:

2021 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about D'WAYNE ESKRIDGE: Western Michigan, 5091 188 4.40. Four-year starter, Bluffton, IN. First-team All MAC in 2020 in a year where he was finally the feature receiver. A blazing fast and quick playmaker who has sustained big play ability from the start of his career. Accelerates suddenly and is a hard guy to even touch when he has the ball. Made a part-time move to cornerback in 2019 because he was the best cover-man on the roster despite being overly raw. His sheer talent and willingness to make multiple back and forth  moves to help the team and excel in whatever role that is, says a lot about him as a player and person. Can be an immediate jolt to any offense’s ability to put points on the board. Has averaged 22 yards per catch since the start of 2018 in addition to adding dynamic return ability. There is so much Eskridge can do on the field and his elite speed will make him sought after. Explosive straight line burst and water-bug quickness. Can alter his weight and direction sharply while moving at his top rate. Separation with and without the ball comes easy and often. Will get open on all levels of the route tree. Has a dangerous stutter step off the line and will force a cover man to give up his intentions. Reacts in a hurry when the defender gets caught on his heels. Dangerous after the catch, will outrun angles. High points the ball exceptionally well. Can mask some of his catch radius issues with how well he gets to the ball at the apex of his leap. Strong hands, can get to and bring in passes away from his body. Innovative and creative ability to twist and turn his torso. Still relatively new to the position. Has a slight frame and lacks enough catch radius to make a big impact in traffic. Gives up too much ground off the line and has a hard time physically fighting through the jam. Doesn’t come back to the ball hard enough. Waits for the pass to get to him rather than go after the pass with hands in front. A one strike blocker that doesn’t consistently sustain. 2020 stats: 34-784, 23.1 ypr, 8 TD, 17-467 KOR, 27.8 avg, 1 TD. Second/ third round. (A-30 1/8, H-9, VJ-35, SS-4.27).
