Ourlads' Profile:

2021 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about AZEEZ OJULARI: Georgia, 6030 240 4.63. Junior entry, two year starter, Marietta, GA. Was an edge defender in the Georgia scheme playing both in a three and two point stance. Playing with a non-stop motor he was primarily used to set the edge and rush the passer. He also had limited reps dropping in flat coverage. Quick with his get off he can engage a blocker and put him on his heels. Quick punch with ability to push, pull and shed. Sets the edge run well and is tough to get around. Shows range to chase and can make plays in space. Fundamentally sound tackling he drives through the ball carrier. Has lateral agility to sift inside and make plays on the line. At his best in a wide nine alignment rushing the passer. Can get around the corner against elite tackles with bend, rip and squeeze to the quarterback. Alternate push pull move as a changeup keeps tackles off-balance. Occasionally asked to drop in flat coverage and in limited reps shows the quickness needed to play underneath. Also shows the speed to peel on a back and chase in man coverage. There is some inconsistency in technique and has shown occasional hesitation making movement a little mechanical. As a result has been easily tied up at times. In coverage needs more consistent depth in flat drop to better close throwing windows. As the 2020 season went on, these issues were less evident as he continued to progress. He will need to develop more of a counter move going forward to consistently create pressure against tackles in the NFL. He lacks the bulk to consistently line up over a tackle but plays stronger than his frame suggests. Not a finished product, he has the upside of an elite edge defender. His versatility will fit well in a 3-4 scheme. 2020 stats: 30 T, 11.5 TFL, 8.5 sacks. 2 PBU, 16 QBH, 3 FF. First round. (A-34 1/2, H-10 1/2, BP-26, SS-4.34, VJ-30).
