Ourlads' Profile:
2021 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about JACKSON CARMAN: Clemson, 6047 317 5.40. Junior entry, two-year starter, Fairfield, OH. Earned All ACC honors both seasons. A bruiser with NFL-ready power and strength who is ready for the league right now in that department. The questions with him revolve around speed and quickness to the edge and when up against quality athletes with an array of double moves. If he doesn’t get the initial positional advantage, he struggles in his quest to recover. There is a possibility his game could be better suited for interior play where his ability to move defenders off the ball and anchor his position naturally and consistently would be of better service. Regardless of where he plays, he fits into a power blocking scheme right away and should be able to contribute in year one. Outstanding natural power presence that can make him look like a man among boys at times. Outstanding girth from head to toe. Big base attached to feet that can stay active and quick. Heavy hands that do damage on contact. Strikes defenders, locks on, and will maintain a stiff arm. Can anchor himself into the ground and take advantage of every one of those pounds on his body. Shows a nasty demeanor in the running game. Will move piles and create new lines of scrimmage up front. Will lose track of the width of his feet, minimizing his balance and ability to stay upright. Speed and quickness can give him a lot of trouble the further out into space he gets. Overly reliant on his power and strength. Needs to mirror better. Knee bend and use of leverage is inconsistent. First/second round. (A-32 1/2, H-9 5/8, BP-NA, 10-NA).
