Ourlads' Profile:
2021 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about LANDON DICKERSON: Alabama, 6060 326 5.30. Four-year starter, Hickory, NC. A transfer from Florida State prior to the 2019 season. Two time All SEC honoree, including first-team in 2020. Also won the Rimington Trophy Award as the nation’s top center. He is an emotional leader and physically dominating presence inside that best fits into a power blocking scheme. His size, country-power, and attitude make him a magnet to energy and constant juice in the trenches. He is a true leader that impacts a team with his actions and consistency. A major red flag, however, revolves around his health. For the fourth time in five years, Dickerson suffered a major injury (multiple to his knees) that ended his season short. The medicals will be crucial here but if things check out, he has starter potential. Mammoth frame that brings a refreshing sense of size and domination to the middle of the line. Will overwhelm interior defenders with his initial punch and desire to stay on top and drive them through the ground. Will absorb contact seamlessly, staying on his point and pushing the pile. Reliable presence to run behind when one yard is needed. Also excels in one on one pass protection. Can slide and mirror while maintaining quality hand contact. Maintains the inside position and keeps his eyes up. Simply a hard guy to get around. A true leader of the line that brings the heat every down, every week. Contagious effort. Shows lower body stiffness. Knee and ankle flexion are inconsistent. That added to the multiple lower body injuries sustained throughout his career will demand extra medical screening and concern. Suffered season ending knee injuries in 2016, 2017, and 2018. Also missed the 2020 season National Championship with another knee injury. Athletically he lumbers when having to move laterally. Top end foot speed and twitch speed in space are lacking. First/second round. (A-32 1/2, H-10 3/8, BP-NA, 10-NA).
