Ourlads' Profile:

2021 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about JEVON HOLLAND: Oregon, 6010 200 4.47. Junior entry, two-year starter, Coquitlam, Canada. Opted out of 2020 season to prepare for the draft. A versatile safety prospect with experience at corner, safety and nickel. Has played well at each position. Excellent instincts and vision in reads from deep zones or in the box. Spent most of his snaps in 2019 at nickel where he excelled. Solid take on ability he can control stalk blocks and shed on the move. Sure tackler with quick feet to react in space. Can be an explosive tackler driving through a ball carrier. Has shown blitz skill anticipating the snap and closing on a ball carrier. Consistently hustles pursuing across the field or attacking downhill. Can match slot receivers and turn and run to stay in phase up the field. Physical player in press coverage he can jam a receiver at the line or play soft press and pedal. At his best as a zone defender. He’s fluid in transition and easily flips his hips to close voids in between zones. Plays with vision as he plays multiple routes in zone while seeing the quarterback. Quick to plant and drive he has a knack for interceptions. Has been very productive with plays on the ball both undercutting receivers and sinking into intermediate zones. Adding to his versatility he has been an outstanding returner averaging 15.3 yards in 2019. Was primarily a flat defender in 2019 so his exposure to deep coverage has been limited. Has some difficulty in man coverage mirroring route breaks. Gets separated too easily on multiple cuts. Has struggled with quick double moves and occasionally loses a receiver. There have been times he has reacted a little late and left a big play on the field. His versatility along with return skill are what NFL teams covet. He fits best in zone heavy team. 2019 stats: 66 T, 4.5 TFL, 4 PBU, 1 QBH, 4 INT (1 TD), 16-244 PR, 15.3 avg. Second/third round. (A-31 1/2, H-9 1/8, VJ-35.5, SS-4.16).
