Ourlads' Profile:

2021 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about KWITY PAYE: Michigan, 6034 272 4.57. Three-year starter, Providence, RI. Earned Honorable Mention All- Big 10 honors in both 2018 and 2019, second-team in 2020. A state champion in the long jump and 4x100 relay as a 250-pound senior in high school, Paye has one of the more interesting tool sets in the entire class. Has rare quickness, bend, and agility for his size. Wins a lot of battles with late movement and sheer head-to-toe power. Lined up all over the Michigan front and that is the kind of role he will thrive in at the next level. Has the power presence to play inside the tackle’s shoulder on all downs, but notably against the pass where he can provide elite interior rush. Needs to improve his production as an outside pass rusher, as he seems late and ineffective too often when trying to purely speed rush. Will be an ideal fit for a scheme that wants to move their exterior linemen inside at times and also demands serious running game responsibilities. Elite-level quickness and agility. Has rare ankle flexibility and lower body movement aesthetics. Long arms and has the ability to always play lower than his man. Plays the game like a high level wrestler, showing excellent coordination and accuracy. Plays balanced and strong while moving at full speed. Fast to reach his top speed. Elite run defender who can two-gap both inside and outside. Will play bigger than his size. Can bend himself back to miss the punch of a blocker while moving downhill. Shows the capability to turn a tight corner. Smart player who has put a lot of work into his craft, techniques are consistent and he is rarely caught out of position. Seems delayed out of his stance as a pass rusher. Doesn’t show consistent explosion up the edge. Should win more battles on the tackle’s outside shoulder than he does. Needs to recognize and take advantage of more opportunities as a pass rusher. Too many plays where he gets locked onto. Could do a better job with his hand striking. 2020 stats (4 games): 16 T, 4 TFL, 2 sacks, 5 QBH. First round. (A-33, H-10, BP-36, 10-1.66).
