Ourlads' Profile:
2021 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about ALILJAH VERA-TUCKER: Southern Cal, 6044 308 5.25. Junior entry, two-year starter, Oakland, CA. Earned All-Pac 12 honors, first-team in 2020. Winner of the 2020 Morris Trophy. Made the move from guard to left tackle this past season, proving to be an equally effective talent at both spots. That kind of versatility and consistent production will weigh a lot for teams that have multiple question marks along their offensive line. He is a nasty, powerful off the ball blocker who will stifle defenders and stick to them with active feet. He can mirror his man while playing a strong, effective game. Grades out both inside and outside, but his ideal spot will be at guard. Has shown a few leverage and control issues when he is far into open space. Should be a starter early in his career and a guy that sticks around for a decade-plus. Natural and easy to access power from the toes on up. A thick but athletic frame with well distributed mass. Can strike defenders with a violent punch, snapping his target’s head back. Will roll his hips into his man and produce the secondary movement off the ball. Sticks to his man like velcro, maintaining quality contact and active feet. A hungry blocker that is always looking for more. Keeps his head still and face forward. Ability to maintain his balance if initially beat. Will trust his techniques and anchor, won’t lose his center of gravity. Has legitimate inside/outside versatility. Productive and consistent at both guard and tackle. Will keep his pad level a bit too high. Very upper body dominant blocker that needs to engage his lower half more in pass protection. His athletic potential may force him to stay inside. Not a low-to-theground mover when getting into space. Will overextend himself against linebackers. Needs to take better angles when chasing after the second level. First/second round. (A-32 1/8, H-9 5/8, BP-32, 10-1.77).
