Ourlads' Profile:

2017 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about ANTHONY WALKER: Northwestern, 6005 238 4.65. Junior entry from Miami, FL. Three-year starter. Followed up his 2015 All-America and first-team All-Big 10 selection with second-team All-Big 10 honors in 2016. Walker is instinctive and smart with tons of versatility. Quick initial read and react. Good downhill reactions with good power attacking a block and making a tackle. Instinctive and quick to fit the hole. Can ward off and slip blocks on the move and gets ball side leverage on a block with the play to his side. Very good getting to the alley with the quickness to scrape off tackle and make a play in the backfield. Quick with his punch. Needs to do a better job leading with his hands and gathering to strike. Does not stay blocked as he keeps moving to get to the ball. Some wasted movement at times. Good range in pursuit. Normally adjusts angle quickly and recovers. Has gained weight and muscle and is a little tighter and less fluid compared to his junior year when he played at a lighter weight. Short space redirection is still good but he needs to play lower when redirecting off a block. He can lose the cutback at times by being too quick downhill. Has very good tackling skills with good fundamental form and explosion. Makes plays in space. Takes good drops with proper depth for the coverage with quick transitions. Quick break on the throw. Good zone awareness. Good ability to see receivers and the quarterback. Breaks on the ball with little wasted movement. Solid quarters coverage ability as he can match up and react correctly to multiple crossing routes. Has man skills and can run with a back out of the backfield and mirror cuts. Explosive attacking block in pass rush. Quick blitzer but needs to develop more technique and variety of moves. Needs to use his hands better. An explosive quick player with good football instincts. More than an inside run stuffer. Can make plays all over the field. Appeared to lose a little agility compared to a year ago. That could be part of getting used to a little more bulk. Can fit in any scheme and could project to Will in a 4-3. Should be an every-down starter in the NFL. 2016 stats: 105 T, 10 TFL, 2 sacks, 5 PBU, 6 QBH, 4 FF, 1 FR, 1 INT. Edge speed:left 1.75, right 1.79. OSR:24/51. Third/ fourth round. (A-30 3/8, H-9 1/2, BP-23, SS-4.37).
