Ourlads' Profile:
2020 Guide: What Ourlads' Scouting Services said about JON RUNYAN: Michigan, 6042 313 5.07. Two-year starter, Moorestown, NJ. Earned first-team All Big 10 honors both years at left tackle. The son of former Eagles’ Pro Bowl offensive tackle Jon Runyan. A highly versatile and reliable player, Runyan will make the move inside in the NFL but will carry versatility onto the field which will only help his stock. He isn’t a “wow” player in any way when it comes to physical tools or when it comes to his skill set, but he gets the job done. There is a lot of intelligence and attention to detail in addition to him being a tough guy. A valuable inside backup that could shift outside in an emergency situation. Thick and functional frame. Quick and assertive off the snap. Puts himself into proper position with a solid first step and quality hand placement. Gets his hands on first and will bring his hips into it. Keeps the feet chopping. Plays smart and tough. Aware of what is going on around him. Sees the field and will narrow down the defense’s intentions right away. Balance is inconsistent, especially in his pass protection sets. Will get top heavy and lose track of where his feet are. Limited in space. Struggles to reach the edge against pure speed. OSR15/41. Fourth/ fifth round. (A-33 1/4, H-9 1/8, BP-24, 10-1.79).
