Ourlads' Profile:
2020 Guide: What Ourlads' Scouting Services said about JONAH JACKSON: Ohio State 6034 306 5.25,. One-year starter, Media, PA. A graduate transfer who started for two season at Rutgers. Honorable mention All Big 10 in his final year at Rutgers before being named first-team in 2019 in addition to a third-team All America honor. A gritty, try-hard blocker who has big, strong hands and a wide base. A guy who will offer versatility inside, as he started games at both guards and at center over his career. There are questions with his upside and overall explosive ability, but he should make a roster and provide quality depth. Heavy and sticky hands that he gets onto the defender fast and abruptly. Can maintain his position advantage well while maintaining a wide base and upright chest. Smart, heady player who can maintain focus on what is in front of him while checking for lateral action coming his way. Feet are in tune with the rest of his body, keeping him balanced and stable. Strong and aggressive player, plays physical. Will offer versatility among all inside positions. Has a tendency to fire out with a high pad level, which can hinder his movement off the line as a run blocker. Needs to enhance his lower body girth and power, the anchor isn’t always there. Will have a tendency to catch contact rather than pursue it. Overall explosion and pop is limited. OSR:32/ 41. Sixth/seventh round. (A-33 1/2, H-10 1/2, BP-28, 10-1.77).
