Ourlads' Profile:

2020 Guide: What Ourlads' Scouting Services said about ANTONIO GIBSON: Memphis, 6004 228 4.39. One-year starter, Stockbridge, GA. Spent two years at East Central CC in Mississippi. Earned second-team All AAC honors as a wide receiver and also the conference Co-Special Teams Player of the Year Award. This is as interesting an athlete as there is in the entire draft class. He barely touched the ball in comparison to other draft prospects over the past two years, but you will have a hard time finding a guy who scored 14 touchdowns on 77 career offensive touches, 33 of which were carries. He was finally put into the backfield halfway through 2019 as a hybrid wide receiver/running back, and he excelled. His confidence grew with every catch and carry. He simply sat behind two future NFL picks (Tony Pollard and Darrel Henderson) and shared other duties with current prospect Patrick Taylor Jr. He is a top tier athlete who looked like one of the best running backs during Senior Bowl week and one has to assume he is very early on the progressive scale. Give him some time, carve out a few package-plays for him in the meantime, and you have one of the top value picks in the draft. Big and strong build that screams running back or a matchup nightmare wide receiver. A big play waiting to happen no matter where he lines up on the field. Thick base with light feet capable of stop and go movement. Excellent timing on his cuts that bring more than enough power to the engagement with defenders. Excellent contact balance. Can bounce away from tacklers while maintaining, even picking up his speed. Can outrun an entire defense, even those that had the angle. Versatile threat that can pass as a wide receiver, his predominant college position. Still very raw when it comes to the nuances and skill set at running back. Will need extra time to ensure he can protect the ball. May need a very specific, borderline role for him. Flashes the jump cut lateral burst to create on his own. Also will contribute as a kickoff return specialist. Very inexperienced but may be the draft’s biggest sleeper. 2019 stats: 369 yds, 11.2 ypc, 4 TD, 38 rec, 735 yds, 19.3 ypr, 8 TD, 23-645 KOR, 28.0 avg, 1 TD. OSR:3/33. Third/fourth round. (A-31 1/8, H-8 5/8, BP-16, SS-DNP).
