Has the tools and more than enough quality tape over three years to sell himself as an elite left tackle prospect. The issue, however, is the amount of inconsistencies he shows in pass protection when it comes to technique. He doesn’t maximize those tools and has gotten used to playing catch-up football which will be much more difficult to do against NFL edge players. Will be a strong run blocker right away, but whatever team ends up with him will need to be patient in his development as a pass blocker. Massive frame with the proper blend of length and thickness. Eye-opening raw athletic ability that can make a difference in the open field. Gets after linebackers at the second level and maintains the ability to adjust to late movement. Aggressive off the snap and can generate elite contact and pop while moving downhill. A dominant run blocker who will create a new line of scrimmage. Can slide his feet up the edge in pass protection and carry defenders up the field. Recovers exceptionally well. Will relocate his feet maintaining hands and knees inside. Heavy-handed. Feet don’t always stay wide enough which leads to an unbalanced and stiff lower half. Gets top heavy, showing his numbers to the ground.
