Ourlads' Profile:
2019 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about SIONE TAKITAKI: BYU, 6011 238 4.65. Two year starter from Fontana, CA. Has come a long way since his early days at BYU and scouts have taken notice. Started at defensive end in 2017 and made the conversion to linebacker in 2018. Plays fast and with a non-stop motor. Quick to read and react with ability to chase to the edge. Aggressive with inside fits and attacks blockers at the hole. At his best in pursuit showing the ability to slip blocks on the move. Around the ball a lot. Has some pop and knee bend tackling. Pass read is quick and he covers ground getting into his drop. Shows a sudden burst reacting to the ball. Has quickness for man coverage and flashed ability to match backs out of the backfield. Inconsistent with run fits. Plays out of control at times and will under or overrun a gap. Will go back door versus a block and lose a path to the ball. While aggressive on blocks he needs technique work as he can be stood up and locked out of play. Spends too much time battling instead of working off the block. Has coverage tools but needs to develop ability to balance multiple routes as he can be out of position at times. Had some off field issues early at BYU but that is behind him and he was a captain this past season. Shrine Game and Senior Bowl participant. 2018 stats: 118 T, 9 TFL, 3 sacks, 3 PBU, 4 QBH, 1 FF. Edge speed:left 2.39, right 2.13. OSR:5/12. Sixth/ seventh round. (A-32, H-9 5/8, BP-24, SS-4.29).
