Ourlads' Profile:

2019 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about RASHAN GARY: Michigan, 6043 277 4.62. Junior entry and two year starter from Plainfield, NJ. Former blue-chip recruit with a tool set that was ready for NFL action two years ago. Gary earned first-team All Big 10 honors two straight years and continued to display a top tier tool set that took over games at times. The issue here is a lack of consistency and production. For a player who has such a distinct physical advantage over opponents, there weren’t enough plays being made to make him an elite draft prospect. He did fight through a lower body injury in 2018 but he still has the boom-or-bust label attached to his name. Has the ideal blend of height, weight, strength, and athleticism. Molded out of stone by those that create the prototype edge defender. Elite speed for his size paired with quickness and agility. Can win battles a variety of ways at the snap of a finger. Solid presence upon contact with the blocker. Can stand him up and take control. Wins most of the leverage battles despite his height. Works hard to play low and strong and will create truck-loads of power from his base. Disciplined assignment player. Inconsistent level of play. Struggles to close when he gets near the ball carrier. Too many missed tackles and seems hesitant when approaching the ball. Doesn’t have natural flow and will not show instincts play to play. Delayed reactions to the running game. Lacks awareness of blockers coming at him laterally, which results in him being washed out of the action. 2018 stats: 44 T, 7.5 TFL, 3.5 sacks, 5 QBH. Edge speed:left 2.00, right 2.04. OSR:4/31. First round. (A-34 1/8, H-9 5/8, BP-26, 10-1.65).
