Ourlads' Profile:

2019 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about JONAH WILLIAMS: Alabama, 6044 302 5.15. Junior entry from Folsom, CA. A three year starter dating back to the beginning of his freshman season, a rarity under the Nick Saban era along the offensive line. One year at right tackle before settling in for two seasons at left tackle. First-team All SEC the past two seasons. Will likely be the unquestioned top offensive lineman in the class. Has the pro-caliber technique and control that can mirror just about anyone with a sense of ease and consistency. While he does have some work to do in the weight room, his upside is that of a 10+ year starter at a position that can be very hard to fill for some clubs. What he lacks in current power presence can be more than made up for with his arsenal of blocking-tools. Some will view him as a guard early on in his career, but his fit will depend on the team that drafts him. Week one starter regardless. Mr. Smooth and Consistent. Barely looks like he breaks a sweat out there. Very repeatable technique stemming from his feet and hands. Kick slide looks effortless and his hands are up and ready to pounce. Aims small as he punches and will almost always hit his target dead in the middle. Keeps everything active and twitchy post-engagement. Top tier balance and body control. Comfortable athlete in space and in a phone booth. Chases after linebackers like a big bully in the hallway. Only a matter of time until he reaches them and when he does, it doesn’t end well for them. Finishes blocks with violence and will recover well on the rare occasion he is beat initially. Able to adjust and re-gather. Will need to develop more core strength. Too often he is bent backward upon contact with a power defender. Needs to get more push at the line. Length is average at best. OSR:32/39. First round. (A-33 5/8, H-10 1/8, BP-23, 10-1.82).
