Ourlads' Profile:
2019 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about NICK BOSA: Ohio State, 6036 266 4.80. Junior entry from Fort Lauderdale, FL. This report is from our 2019 Preview. Nothing has changed but the Combine numbers. Three-year rotating starter from Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Voted the 2017 Big 10 Conference Smith-Brown Defensive Lineman of the Year and first-team All-America. He led the Buckeyes in tackles for loss with 16 and a team high eight sacks. Opened the 2018 season winning the Bednarik Player of the Week with his two sacks, two fumble recoveries, and a touchdown versus Oregon State. The game changing pass rusher was the team leading tackler and recorded 29 tackles for loss, good for 154 negative yards and 17.5 sacks in his career before a muscle core injury in the TCU game required surgery. Brother Joey and dad John were both first round selections with Joey gathering NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year honors in 2016 for the Chargers. Nick has his brother’s hand quickness using solid hand placement, quick punch, stab and arm extension to control the blocker with his strong hands and long arms. Has jackrabbit quickness off the ball and the talent to affect and disrupt the quarterback and the game. Can turn the corner and flatten the edge and knock off the inside running game. Plays with intensity and good situational awareness. Gets good knee bend and can leverage back a tackle to the quarterback. His bag of pass rushing tools is NFL ready. Once he sheds a block he has an upfield burst to the ball carrier. The productive and quick twitch pass rusher has been a disruptive presence since he stepped on a college football field. Will be in the running for the top pick in the 2019 draft. Only played three games, had surgery, and performed at the Combine. 2018 stats (3 games): 14 T, 6 TFL, 4 sacks, 1 QBH, 1 FF. Edge speed:left 2.14, right 2.28. OSR:9/31. First round. (A-33, H-10 3/4, BP-29, 10-1.66).
