Runs down a back from behind like a cheetah chasing an antelope. Quick at the snap with hands and a two-arm extension to shock a blocker. Keeps blockers off his body and can separate quickly and get to the ball. Can run the hoop and flatten down the line of scrimmage. A wrap up tackler. Plays with a good pad level and maintains leverage versus the edge run. Does a good job on a contain rush. Aware of counters and reverses. Moves well laterally. Tough to get around. As a pass rusher he demonstrates explosive first step quickness where he turns speed to power and has remarkable ability to bend and squeeze around the corner and get under the offensive tackle. He will get upfield too far at times creating a seam for the off tackle. Accelerates to the quarterback once he sheds the initial block. Generally good at the point of attack but has problems with big, long, physical tackles. Also needs to be more consistent at attacking blocks on plays at him.
