Ourlads' Profile:

2017 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about CAM ROBINSON: Alabama, 6062 322 5.15. Junior entry from Monroe, LA. Started three years including 43 straight games. Passes the hoof test in what a prototype left tackle looks like in the league. Long arms and big hands with flashes of dominance. Good upper and lower body thickness. Flashes ability to block corners on the perimeter. Robinson’s game is wildly inconsistent from his overly wide to his overly narrow base to his numerous drive disruption penalties. That being said, he will be over-drafted as a tackle or a guard. Coaches will like his athletic ability and his physical makeup. Simply put, he lacks the “eye of the tiger”. Lumbers around lacking a sense of urgency. Perfunctory blocks that lack sustain and finish. A defender can beat him across his face. Misses down blocks on linebackers on a regular basis. Spends more time on the ground because he overextends as a run blocker and gets sloppy versus double move speed pass rushers. Loses his head at times. Needs to play smarter and focused. Has a 2016 off season weapon and drug charge erased by a Louisiana prosecutor who did not want to hurt his career. Can stand a low player up and control. Excellent on the move. Has the foot speed to reach the edge with balance and accuracy. Hits his foot locations well. More than enough flexibility from his lower half. Top tier hands as a pass blocker. Nick Saban’s first ever true freshman full-time starter at left tackle in 2014 never looked back and ended his career with unanimous All-America honors in addition to being the winner of the Outland Trophy (top lineman in country) and Jacobs’ Blocking Trophy (SEC’s top lineman). There could be some debate if he is better suited for guard at the next level. Boom or bust. OSR:6/41. First/second round. (A-35 1/2, H-10 1/2, BP-DNP, 10-1.80).
