Shows good speed to cover vertical routes. Best in press man, but has some experience in off man. Okay in zone coverage but is not the most aware with route recognition. Has recovery quickness and burst. Explosive in run support but is an inconsistent tackler. In most scenarios, the lack of career experience and injury woes would be enough to really bump a player’s grade down. However the 20-year old Lattimore could make a case that he has the most impressive blend of tools and skills within this deep cornerback class. The size, speed, and ball skills are all top notch and he can fit into any coverage scheme or role. The upside is through the roof here as long as his hamstrings can be trusted. 2016 stats: 41 T, 4 INT, 9 PBU. Medical exclusion at Combine, shoulder and hip flexor. OSR:3/ 35. First round.
