Offensive Rookie of the Week:

Tetairoa McMillan - Carolina Panthers

Defensive Rookie of the Week:

Carson Schwesinger - Cleveland Browns

Quarterback

Cam Ward / TEN (Round 1)

It was a light week for the rookie quarterbacks, as Ward was the only one to play an entire gane. He threw for 194 yards and a touchdown and for the second straight week he did not throw an interception. The last time he had consecutive games without throwing one came in weeks one and two. His 87.0 passer rating was his second highest of the year and he did it against one of the top defenses in football.

Honorable Mention: Dillon Gabriel / CLE

Running Back

TreVeyon Henderson / NE (Round 2)

Henderson led the rookie backs with 94 total yards and he was the only one to score multiple touchdowns. He had two on the ground and another as a receiver. No other Patriot crossed the goal line in their Thursday night win over the Jets.

Honorable Mention: Bhayshul Tuten / JAX

Wide Receiver

Tetairoa McMillan / CAR (Round 1)

The Panthers offense has stayed afloat this season because of a running game that is top ten in the league in yards. They went down by 14 in the second quarter and it forced Dave Canales to get more pass heavy than usual. McMillan, the first receiver drafted last April and leading receiver among all rookies so far this season, had his best game of the year. He set a career-high in both catches (8) and yards (130) along with two touchdowns, doubling his season total.

Honorable Mention: Pat Bryant / DEN

Tight End

Colston Loveland / CHI (Round 1)

The spot was up for grabs with Tyler Warren on a bye week. Loveland caught three of four targets for 30 yards, both ranking second in the group. He finished a position-best 27 yards after the catch and was the only one to break multiple tackles. Loveland’s presence in the trenches was a positive factor as well for a team that went to Minnesota and won convincingly.

Honorable Mention: Gunnar Helm / TEN

Offensive Tackle

Will Campbell / NE (Round 1)

On short rest, Campbell shut down the still-solid Jets defensive front with precision, control, and technique. There are very few rookies in the history of the game who have made it look as easy as Campebell has this season and he is only getting better. He allowed just one pressure on 40 pass block snaps and was rarely caught off balance.

Honorable Mention: Armand Membou / NYJ

Guard/Center

Donovan Jackson / MIN (Round 1)

The Chicago front attacked and challenged Jackson with a variety of schematic looks and physical profiles Sunday. Passed test after test with precision and a finishing punch that created several highlight-worthy blocks. His ability to transition defenders and move laterally without any loss of balance in both the run and pass games helped Minnesota nearly mount a comeback against the Bears. He did not allow a single pressure and was not flagged for the second straight game.

Honorable Mention: Jonah Savaiinaea / MIA

Edge

Nic Scourton / CAR (Round 2)

Scourton has quietly been one of the top edge defenders this season among rookies. His run defense is the noteworthy strength of his game. He led the group with six tackles including a goal line stuff and a fourth quarter tackle for loss that resulted in a five-yard loss during Carolina’s comeback effort. His ability to set the edge helped contain a strong Falcons run game that saw Bijan Robinson average just 1.6 yards per carry in the second half and overtime.

Honorable Mention: Jalon Walker / ATL

Defensive Tackle

Mason Graham / CLE (Round 1)

The attention will go to Myles Garrett (rightfully so) for his second four-plus sack game but do not overlook how important Mason Graham was to that result. He led all rookies with five pressures and added two tackles against the run, both of which were stops. Graham and Garrett have a shot at being the top inside-out duo in football within a year.

Honorable Mention: Zeek Biggers / MIA

Linebacker

Carson Schwesinger / CLE (Round 2)

The primary story from the Browns-Ravens game was fellow rookie Shedeur Sanders getting his first look at live regular season action. But Carson Schwesinger, one of the top rookies in the NFL, led the class with 11 tackles and also picked off a Lamar Jackson pass, his second in three weeks. He took down Derrick Henry multiple times and ended with four stops on the day.

Honorable Mention: Teddye Buchanan / BAL

Cornerback

Corey Thornton / CAR (UDFA)

The 2025 season’s first undrafted free agent to make the All-Rookie team goes to Thornton, out of Louisville. He helped put the clamp on the Falcons offense in the second half with five tackles and a pass break up. He also had a third down pressure that forced a completion as he is emerging to be a much-needed corner for the much-improved Carolina defense.

Honorable Mention: Jason Marshall / MIA

Safety

Billy Bowman / ATL (Round 4)

Bowman was all over the field for Atlanta in their overtime loss against Carolina. He had three pressures and a sack in addition to four tackles. He allowed one big downfield completion but otherwise was very solid and rangey in coverage.

Honorable Mention: Nick Emmanwori / SEA
