Edge Rushers
Good size with long arms. Flashed raw power and rare explosiveness off the ball. Won with both speed and power throughout the week. Won outside with speed, and showed multiple inside moves with violent hand usage. Solid stack and shed on running plays. Unblockable in team period on day two. Will play high at times.
Solid size overall, but lacks ideal length. Shows a good football IQ showing a variety of moves in team and one on one. Wins with speed off the edge as well as hand swipes and an inside spin move. Excellent bend and relentless effort. Speed to power player and flashed a solid bull rush but would struggle some against powerful athletic tackles. Plays low off the snap and can get underneath offensive linemen’s pads. Lacks the functional strength to consistently set the edge.
Ivey has good size and athletic ability to go with a versatile tool set. He did not disappoint during the practices. Showed good stack and shed setting the edge and had some solid reps as a three technique. Used a variety of moves in pass rush drills and flashed explosiveness at the snap.
Undersized but speed-to-power is impressive. Won with rapid chop and rip move with impressive speed off the edge. Consistent winner in one on ones. Was disruptive setting the edge. Excellent change of direction to go with a hot motor. When engaged he would occasionally get locked up rather than extend and detach. Some inconsistency in get off.
Undersized with a light frame but has decent arm length. Flashed notable bend off the edge with seamless change of direction. His speed for the position is top-tier and he wins regularly with his quickness alone. Some inconsistency with bend around the arc as he could get ridden out. Might be too light to hold the point consistently on the edge, but plays bigger than he is and held his own. Some struggles to win with power.
Drops his weight seamlessly with excellent bend and lower body flex. Really impressive bend in individual drills. Winning reps at three-tech and on the edge. Flashed a cross chop to get free in pass rush. Played with a hot motor. Inconsistent pad level caused anchor problems at times.
One of the standout guys from a size and strength perspective. He played on the edge and inside and had an outstanding week. Quick at the snap he could be disruptive taking inside gaps or working around the corner. Strong hands to stack and shed. Smooth mover and relentless effort. He created consistent pressure during team sessions and during the game. Most likely upped his stock here.
Had an inconsistent week as he played all along the front. Had some solid reps but spent too much time on the ground with occasional loss of footing. Flashed power at the point of attack but had some struggles with powerful blockers. Had a sack showing bend on the edge during the game.
Mammoth of a human being with long arms. Tough physical player. Tight hips make it difficult to rush off the edge, but he showed a powerful bull rush that produced a couple of sacks in the game. His pass rush arsenal is limited but he plays with relentless effort. Lacks ideal bend and flex but can hold a point with authority. Pad level is inconsistent.
Excellent frame with notably long arms. Great muscle definition. Excellent use of hands at the point of attack. Has shown multiple ways to shed. A ball of clay with the size and athleticism to be a real threat at the next level.
Showed solid athletic ability in drills. Flashed pass rush skills with a club and rip move. At his best playing the run as a five technique. Showed a good motor and pursuit on plays away. Does not show great bend or lower body flex. In the game he aligned mostly in a wide nine and was not as effective there.
Good size and length but could use some more bulk. Natural twitch and lower body flex. Some hip tightness showed in individual drills. Good motor. Flashed pass rush skill in one on one showing speed on the edge. Struggles to anchor vs. the run. Limited observation as he left early.
Impressive change of direction skills during drills. Regular success in one on ones. Does not show standout traits but played with a relentless motor.
David Walker - Central Arkansas
Short and lacks length. Has a thick midsection and legs. Was a little overwhelmed by the step up in competition. Lacks bend and ankle flexion as he struggles to drop his weight and get low. Flashed power coming off the edge showing a tough bull rush.
Defensive Tackles
Solid frame and power. Very stout at the point with an anchor and strong hands to stack and shed. Quick out of his stance, his punch can knock a blocker back. Plays with a high energy motor and can chase along the line. Excellent lateral agility. Interior pass rush skill showed in one on ones with a bull rush into a move. Pad level can get high at times.
Had a great week including dominating day one. Quick and explosive at the snap he penetrated gaps and was disruptive against the run. Showed ability to bull rush into a move in one on ones. Showed elite power with ability to knock a blocker back on initial charge. Showed lateral ability and range working along the line. Pad level got high at times which could slow him down.
Alexander really helped himself here. You couldn’t miss him as he won reps consistently throughout the week. Seamless hip flips in individual drills. Great change of direction around the edge with bend. Showed a good-sized arsenal in one-on-ones and won in a variety of ways. Was explosive out of his stance and could stack and shed working along the line. Pad level could get upright.
Elite change of direction ability shown off in individual drills. Burst matched with violence is impressive. Total game wrecker on the interior, gets low and underneath blockers easily. Some instability in his base as he often throws all of his weight into the offensive lineman making him prone to end up on the ground.
Nose tackle type player. Wide frame and girth. He was consistent to anchor against the run. More than a space eater he showed surprising quickness at the snap and lateral movement. Had some impressive reps in pass rush drills winning with quickness and hand swipes.
Gets off the ball with quickness and a low pad level and ability to push to the backfield. Flashed some anchor along with lateral agility inline. Was able to stack and shed to make several plays in team. Flashed inside pass rush skill with ability to hit gaps and close on the quarterback.
Quick at the snap he usually comes out low with good balance. Uses his hands to punch and shed and control blockers working to the ball. Can be disruptive penetrating and showed a variety of pass rush moves with closing burst. High effort player one gap type. Some inconsistency in pad level hurt his anchor at times and he can get knocked off the ball.
Long thick frame with great arm length. Impressive change of direction for someone of his size. Showed brute strength in one on one situations and couldn’t be single blocked. Flashed solid push the pocket pass rush. Has a tendency to play upright at the snap and that created stalemates.
Massive interior defender with imposing size and length. Most of mass is in upper body as he has a more slender lower half. Limited reps at Senior Bowl as the injury he played with during the season crept up and he opted out early. Flashed quickness and power with strong quick hands. Can be disruptive as a two gap player or penetrator. He plays with a higher pad level and that contributes to inconsistency. Injury a factor and the medical report will be important.
Explosive get off of at the line of scrimmage with extremely quick reaction speed at the snap. Excellent hand strength to get consistent knock back on contact. Plays with energy and can chase along the line. Lined up offside several times during team period on Wednesday.
Gets off the ball quick with great strength on contact for substantial knock back. Had a really strong day three and got into the backfield regularly in team periods. Can stack and shed and made some plays coming off a block to make a tackle.
Explosive out of his stance. Played three technique for the most part. Solid punch and shed with ability to make plays along the line. Has lateral agility and is a good athlete for the position. Has some pad level issues as he will play upright at times.
Nice loose hips. Excellent bend working through an offensive lineman in pass rush drills. Some trouble with stack and shed due to inconsistent hand placement. Got reps inside and outside. At his best as a five technique.
